In response to questions about how public adjusters can guide home and business owners through the complicated property insurance claims process, we addressed the fact that in order to get everything they’re owed, policyholders must prove their claim by doing their own research, getting their own bids, providing backup documentation and making written demands.
“There are a lot of moving parts once you suffer a loss. Without vigilant attention to detail from the beginning, you might end up with an incomplete estimate for repairs or rebuilding or contents inventories, and then have to go back to the insurance company to request more money.” We note that type of request can slow the claims process down and make it messier which is why public adjusters should be brought into the claims process as early as possible.
