NAPIA Receives Public Relations Awards
The National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (NAPIA) was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America's (PRSA) Tri-Cities TN/VA Chapter for its ongoing work in educating consumers about public adjusters. NAPIA was honored with three awards at the PRSA Chapter's annual awards banquet. NAPIA received the Award of Quality, Media Relations, for their NAPIA Hurricane Sandy Media Outreach Campaign; the Award of Excellence, Audio-Visual Productions, for the NAPIA Informational Video Series; and the Award of Excellence, Writing, Other, for their piece NAPIA Member Helps Family Rebuild After Southern California Wildfires.
Award recipients included Greg Raab, NAPIA Board Member and Manager of Integrated Services at Adjusters International, who was named on the Media Relations award for his work on the Hurricane Sandy Outreach Campaign, and on the Audio-Visual Productions award for his efforts in creating and promoting the NAPIA Informational Video Series. The outreach campaign proactively put NAPIA insurance experts in touch with numerous media outlets to inform and educate Sandy victims on potential roadblocks throughout the claims process. It also served to help connect homeowners with experienced, licensed public adjusters for guidance through the difficult process. The NAPIA video series was created to communicate the benefits of NAPIA membership with prospective members. Topics discussed in the series include NAPIA's commitment to providing continuing education opportunities for its members, its legislative support of licensing and other policy issues throughout the country, and its reputation as a forum for professional networking and information/idea exchange.
